Bowes Lounge is a pub of old school charm. Hidden away on Fleet Street Review: Bowes Lounge is a pub of old school charm. Hidden away on Fleet Street, and seemingly always obstructed by buses, if you manage to find this pub, you will not regret it. Although it looks small from the exterior the bar area is actually quite long and surprisingly spacious. The service is excellent and the pints delivered were ideal. The price of the pints was in accordance with pubs in the city centre, perhaps cheaper than one or two. This is the sort of pub to go to if you want to have a chat with friends or if you just fancy a pint and a read of a newspaper.
