Nancy Blakes is a really traditional Irish pub located in the centre of the busy city of Limerick. The character and ambience of this pub are evident as soon as you step inside. If you are peckish, bar snacks are available. Traditional Irish music several nights during the week. A large beer garden with a canopy which can be used in the winter and summer it is an ideal spot to enjoy live music. A pub to suit all ages! Opening its doors in 1956, Nancy’s is probably Limerick’s best known bar. Honing her skills in the old Cruises Hotel, Nancy Blake established a bar famed for its cosy fireplaces, welcoming staff and a decent pint. Little has changed since those early days (except for the sawdust), being renowned for traditional music, premium gins, fine whiskeys and a large selection of craft beer. This great pub is now run by Nancy’s son Donal, who turned the old stable to the rear, into the late-night Outback bar, home of the best blues and soul music in the city. Serving late from Wednesday to Sunday, there is also traditional music played Monday to Wednesday night. Bookings are welcome and we can discuss a range of options from finger food to barbecues.
