Based on Main Street, P.F. McCarthy’s is one of Kenmare’s oldest and most loved bars and restaurants. For years the McCarthy family has proudly offered some of the finest food and drink to the people of Kenmare and now, under the careful eye of local man Paul Bevan the establishment continues to pride itself on quality, great atmosphere and genuine, friendly service. Over the years, PFs has earned a reputation as one of Kenmare’s best music venues and has seen many of the great local bands and artists entertain the crowds over many an evening’s pint. Today, you can find a mixture of musicians from around the area and beyond who offer a variety of styles ranging from traditional Irish sessions to contemporary rock and original music. Paul earned a name for himself as a perfectionist when it comes to food and this can be seen from the quality of offerings from PFs kitchen. With a range of dishes to suit all occasions it is common to see guests enjoying a gourmet pizza over a sociable beer or the relishing the house speciality meatloaf with pepper sauce for a well deserved lunch break.
