Founded in 1879, ‘Keating’s Bar & Restaurant’, is charmingly situated on the seafront overlooking Kilbaha harbour. Run by husband and wife team, Bernie and Helen Keating, this popular pub and eatery, is renowned for its locally caught, fresh seafood, as well as, for its warm welcome and traditional, family-friendly, atmosphere.

The bar’s idyllic setting looking out across Kilbaha Bay, on the mouth of the River Shannon, really adds to the experience of dining on fresh seafood. Indeed, with ‘Loop Head Lighthouse’, the ‘Bridges of Ross’ and many local beaches and walkways, all in close proximity, ‘Keating’s Bar & Restaurant’ is the perfect base for nature fans, marine and geology enthusiasts, scenic lovers and families alike, to meet, eat and relax.

Keating’s also proudly lays claim to being the ‘Nearest Bar to New York’. On the western gable of the building, the iconic image of a pint of Guinness and The Statue of Liberty can be seen and in fact this infamous picture has formed the backdrop to many a passerby’s holiday snaps.

Although we are certain you will adore the serenity of West Clare, we do also have full public WiFi, so you are welcome to take out your laptop, tablet or smart phone and connect with the outside world; update your friends on social media, or catch up on emails, at your leisure over a frothy cappuccino or a milky latte.

Food & Drink Keating’s has become a widely acclaimed restaurant with locals and tourists alike. Now boasting a magnificent menu, we pride ourselves on having an impressive mixture of fresh, locally caught sea produce and many other delectable delights including steaks, stir fry’s and chicken dishes.
