About

Mc Neill’s Pub Capel St

McNeills, 140 Capel Street, Dublin 1. A traditional Irish music shop since 1834 and situated on the oldest shopping street in Dublin’s fair city.
The pub was tastefully adapted to include a public house and music shop,. Home to many of the finest musicians playing their way through Dublin nightly sessions are open and anyone who can play is welcome to join in. The building is steeped in history and in fact the bugle that sounded the infamous charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean war was made on this premises. These days you have better luck at getting a creamy pint of Guinness and a tale from one of our local barmen/storytellers who are always willing to give an ailing traveler a point in the right direction. A true hidden Irish gem with three open turf fires to keep away the cold and trad music in a real Irish setting.
